The game Rock, Paper, Scissors is a linear style game. Linear games have rules and a defined structure. They have a specific sequence. Rock, Paper, Scissors must be played in a certain order. Players must start by facing each other. They must simultaneously chant "Rock, Paper, Scissors, Shoot" before playing their gesture. The play must be done in this order. In traditional Rock, Paper, Scissors, hand gestures are limited to three gesture options. The game ends fast but can be played as many times as you'd like. It is not open ended like sandbox games can be.
Even though Rock, Paper, Scissors has the potential to be a multiplayer game, it should be restricted to two players. In Rock, Paper, Scissors, players make one of three hand gestures, each of which beats one, loses to the other and ties with itself. If there are three people playing and each plays a different gesture, no one wins. If one player plays the "rock" gesture and two play the "paper" gesture, "paper" beats "rock" so a tie breaker would be in order. When the number of players goes beyond three, it becomes more and more difficult to determine the winner.
